Elon musk has being in the news quite a bit since he became CEO of Twitter, but could he take on Apple?
Welcome to Chat With Steve. A blog website about Dancing, Books, Technology and life in general. Come on in and take a look around…
Here’s a little bit about me…
I am a professional dancer from Manchester, UK and I have performed all over the world in many theatres and on TV.
I have been dancing from the age of 6 years old and I can’t remember when it wasn’t a part of my life. I started out with Ballroom and Latin where I competed both nationally and internationally. I am very proud of my accomplishments during my competitive career, these include:
UK Amateur 10 dance champion.
British Ballroom Champion
British Latin Champion
Representative for the UK at the world championships.
At the age of 16, I stepped away from the competitive world and ventured into the broader entertainment industry. I attended the Italia Conti School of Performing Arts in London for 1 year which was very quickly followed by my first ever professional dancing job which I am still part of today.
A world renowned international dance show called BURN THE FLOOR.
I have been a part of Burn The Floor for the last 16 years and it has taken me all over the world, performing at some amazing venues and visiting some incredible countries.
Over last 3 years I have also been part of the hit TV show Dancing With The Stars in Ireland.
There have been lots of other shows over the years that I have had the pleasure to have been part of… too many to mention but one thing for sure is that I have been extremely lucky and I am very grateful for where dance has taken me.
During the Covid-19 pandemic most things came to an abrupt stop and the entertainment industry was no exception. It was at this time that I started to look at new skills I could acquire, after a lot of back and forward I developed a real appreciation for technology.
I have always appreciated technology and like many others, I get excited by the next big thing. But during the pandemic I started to explore how these new innovations came to be. EVENTUALLY… and I mean eventually I became hooked.
I decided to enroll in a Computer Science Degree offered by the University of London through Coursera. It’s perfect for me as I still want to keep dancing and performing. The distance learning model allows me to do just that.
This blog will be a mix of everything from my performing endeavours to my studies and many other things.
I hope people may find some value in it and it may spark a conversation and introduce me to new people…
I hope you enjoy it.
